Minakami Onsen is one of Gunma Prefecture's most representative hot spring areas, located around the southern foothills of Mt. Tanigawa in Minakami Town, Gunma Prefecture. It is accessible from Tokyo in about three hours. Visitors can enjoy abundant nature year-round, with outdoor activities such as hiking and rafting in the summer and skiing in the winter. However, in recent years, the number of overnight guests at Minakami Onsen has been declining, and many abandoned ryokan (Japanese inns) are noticeable, making it a "typical example of a declining hot spring town" (Reference: Minakami Town Tourism Promotion Plan).

When considering the first property under our "Aratashi" brand, we evaluated the rich nature of the Minakami Town area and its easy access from the Kanto region. We believe it has enough potential to regain its popularity as a hot spring destination, and thus, we selected this location. This property opened in November 2022.
